Open Water Diver Course: Open Water Training
For those students who have completed and passed the classroom training and pool training sessions of their Open Water Diver course we provide opportunities for completing open water certification dives.

Open Water Dives - 2026 Dates
- May 2 & 3 (Sat/Sun @ 9:30 AM): Square Lake
- May 9 & 10 (Sat/Sun @ 9:30 AM): Square Lake
- May 30 & May 31 (Sat/Sun @ 9:00 AM): Perch Lake
- June 13 & 14 (Sat/Sun @ 9:00 AM): Perch Lake
- June 30 & July 1 (Tues/Wed @ 5:30 PM): Square Lake
- July 28 & July 29 (Tues/Wed @ 5:30 PM): Square Lake
- Aug 18 & Aug 19 (Tues/Wed @ 5:00 PM): Square Lake
- Oct TBD (Sat/Sun @ 9:30 AM): Square Lake

REGISTRATION: To sign-up for your Open Water Dives, email your requested dates to Bob Karl.
The 2026 price for Square Lake or Perch Lake Open Water Dives is $210: this includes 1 snorkel dive, 4 SCUBA dives (2 per day), gear, tanks, weights, wetsuit/gloves/boots/hood, a dive logbook, and certification agency processing fees (including your certification card). You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the dive site. We can help coordinate carpools to Lake Superior if you would like.
For those students who have passed their classroom and pool training but will be completing their open water dives with a dive operation other than Superior Expeditions we are happy to help you coordinate this through the Universal Referral Program.
